Post GPS
I want to put a GPS on my Quadshot, but I haven't seen anyone post on the forum about successes, failures, or how to's. Does anyone have advice or suggestions when doing this? How difficult is it to program into paparazzi? It seems that there is already code for GPS inputs in the Quadshot codes...

Thanks!

Excellent Hwal,

so nice to see a GPS application for QS.
I will try to put some life into my GPS accordingly to your instructions.

Regards.

Hi Hwal,

Thank you for the input! I have been very busy with the end of my school semester approaching quickly, and not a lot of time to work on the QS. I will let you know how it goes.

Best,
Brendan

Looking through the moderator logs, I don't see any posts that were deleted with the username Hwal.

I attached the printscreen of the GPS topic.
I think at least one reply is missing between Brendan.J.Smith and david.erzen.

Best regards,

David

Yeah I can see the thread it is just that I don't see any history of a moderator that deleted the posts. Maybe Hwal deleted them. I don't know much about forums but is there a way to tell?

Hi guys,

As you might have seen we had quite big problems with Spam till recently. I hope we finally remedied the situation for good though.

It might be that when we were cleaning out the forum from regular spam the missing post/user got deleted. If that is the case I am very sorry, and it was definitely not intended.

Regards,
Piotr

Hi Hwal,

I am very very sorry that you lost your account. Thank you very much for re-posting this.

As I said I hope we will be able to prevent a spam attack in the future instead of having to clean it out. :)

An additional pointer on topic:

You can add:

<load name="gps_ubx_ucenter.xml"/>

in the <modules> section of the airframe file, then the autopilot will then configure the ublox module, on startup, the way it "likes it" without you having to store the data in the flash of the module.

Regards,
Piotr
