I just placed my order for an Espresso.

I am going to get the JR X9503 nine channel remote
Also, the JR RD921 nine channel receiver

Is this going to be a good match for the Espresso? I see that the remote is recommended on these forum posts, and is used by the Quadshot developers. I really just want final thoughts, aprticularly that the reciever is OK to use with the Espresso Quadshot before I lay down the cash on the remote.

Thank you

Oh, and do I need servos, or anything else?

Thank you

You will need one satellite receiver but two are recommended, no servos needed.

Hello again

I am about to purchase the JR X9503 for my Quadshot Expresso.

I notice that there is a JR X9503 Heli MD1, and a JR X9503 Air MD2. Which one should I get? It appears that the only difference is that the throttle is on the right on the heli MD1 version, and on the left in the MD2 Air version. I have never used an aircraft remote controller before. Does it matter which one I get?

Given that the Quadshot is both a Heli and an airplane, just a bit confused in which mode would be better.

Chris, you said I should get two receivers. If I get two of the R921X 9 Channel Receivers, is that good? I notice that the JR X9503 receiver is a 9 channel transmitter, and the R921X is a 9 channel receiver. Can I bind the remote to to receivers at once?

Sorry, I am learning this as I go, so have to ask questions. I would be happy to read an FAQ, or documentaiton if you can point me to it.

Thank you

Is the only difference between the two Txs the throttle ratchet? It is removable if you get the fixed wing Tx. I do not know which is better suited because I don't know the difference between the two. Usually it is just positioning of switches or number of 3 position switches when going from fixed wing to helicopter transmitter, but the pictures look the same for the two 9503s.

Get two of these: ... er-SPM9545

Do not get the DSMX ones unless you are patient. They are not yet supported.

Thanks for the reply Chris

I will look at those receivers tonight.

As for the Jr x5903, I believe that one of the quadshot devs has a Jr x5903. I wonder if they could post if it is the heli md1 version, or the air md2 version?

Either way, do you have any opinion on getting a heli version v
s a air version for the quadshot?

Has anyone on the forum got the Jr x5903 in with the heli md1 or the air md2?
